What I've built for clients

Four recent projects for one repeat client, each with his own words from Upwork. All of them were delivered as code in the client's repositories, with documentation.

Monitoring and alerting for a Kubernetes cluster

The situation. The client had an outage and heard about it from a customer, not from their own systems.

What I built.

  • Prometheus and Grafana on the cluster, with dashboards for what is happening across it
  • Slack alerts when something goes wrong
  • Custom alert rules, not just a default install
  • A README so the team can run it themselves
Fourth order with Umar. Client had an outage and found out about it from a customer which was the whole reason for this. Umar set up a full monitoring and alerting setup on the cluster. They now get Slack alerts when anything goes wrong and have dashboards showing what is happening across the whole cluster. Came with custom alert rules already configured not just a default install. Delivered same night, README made it straightforward to get running.

Azure AKS cluster, built with Terraform

The situation. The client needed a Kubernetes cluster on Azure for one of his own customers, ready to use.

What I built.

  • Networking, the AKS cluster and the container registry, all connected
  • Everything defined in Terraform
  • An infrastructure diagram the end client could keep
  • Guidance on Azure upgrades

Third project with Umar and he keeps delivering. This time it was Azure needed a Kubernetes cluster set up for a client. He sorted the networking, the cluster, the container registry, all connected and ready to use. He also explained a few things I didn’t know about Azure upgrades which was useful. Came with a proper infrastructure diagram too which my client appreciated. Delivered same night as always. Going to keep using him.

VPC and EKS cluster on AWS

The situation. The client needed a clean cloud network and a Kubernetes cluster they could connect to straight away.

What I built.

  • VPC networking and an EKS cluster in Terraform
  • Documented setup that worked on the first run
  • A heads-up on things the client would need later

Second time working with Umar and again really happy with the results. He set up the full cloud networking and Kubernetes cluster on AWS using Terraform, exactly as discussed. Everything was clean, well documented, and I could connect to the cluster straight away after running the setup. He also flagged a few things I’d need later that I hadn’t thought about, which was helpful. Delivered the same night. Will keep coming back.

Static website infrastructure on AWS

What I built.

  • S3, CloudFront, Route 53 and ACM defined in Terraform
  • A GitHub Actions pipeline that deploys on every push
  • The site live over HTTPS, with a README to hand over

Umar did a great job setting up the AWS infrastructure for my website. Everything was done with Terraform S3, CloudFront, Route 53, ACM, and a GitHub Actions pipeline. The site is live over HTTPS and deploys automatically on every push. Code was clean and the README made it easy to understand. Negotiated fairly on price and delivered on time. Would hire again.

Smaller jobs, same standard

Fixed-scope Terraform, CI/CD and troubleshooting work from Fiverr, in the buyers' own words.
