Hi, I'm Umar, a freelance DevOps engineer
Multi-cloud DevOps engineer. I build and run cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure and GCP, and I like turning messy, manual setups into something automated and boring.
I work day to day on production AWS infrastructure: VPCs, EKS and EC2 workloads, Lambda and API Gateway backends, S3 and CloudFront frontends, all managed with Terraform and deployed through CI/CD pipelines.
Alongside that, I help startups and small teams as a freelancer. Most projects start the same way: infrastructure was clicked together in the console, nobody is quite sure how production was built, and deploys depend on one person's laptop. I fix that by putting everything in code, automating the pipeline and writing down how it all works.

- Everything as code. If it isn't in Git, it doesn't exist.
- Security first. Least-privilege IAM, encryption, no long-lived keys.
- Simple over clever. The best setup is one your team can maintain without me.
- Clear communication. Fixed scope, regular updates, honest timelines.
I also write tutorials on this blog and share short DevOps videos, based on the same setups I build for clients, including the one running this website. My clients on Upwork and Fiverr keep coming back, and the pattern in their reviews is the same: delivered on time, clean code, a README that makes it easy to take over.
